In 2007 Bianchi won the French Formula Renault 2.0 and soon followed that with the Formula Three Masters title in 2008. In 2009, Bianchi won the Formula Three Euroseries.
He then competed in the GP2 Asia Series between 2009-2010 finishing 12th, before moving on to the GP2 Series (ART Grand Prix) in 2010, in which he finished 3rd and entered the Ferrari Drivers Academy.
At the start of November (2010) Ferrari confirmed him as the team's 2011 test and test driver.
For the 2012 season, Ferrari has loaned him to the Force India team, for whom he drove in nine Friday free practice sessions over the course of the year as the outfit's test and reserve driver.
On 1 March 2013, Marussia announced that Bianchi as race driver.
